About Colleen Roemer

"You are Safe, You are Seen, You are Loved"
This is the foundation of everything I do and create.
For over 20 years, I've been creating sacred spaces where people can breathe, be truly seen, and tell their stories without judgment.
Following my path
I followed a calling many years ago.
That calling has led me through youth ministry, campus ministry with college students, spiritual companionship, grief writing, and editorial work, Christian childbirth education- always with the same thread running through it all: creating meaningful connections and preserving what matters.
I listen deeply.
I write with sensitivity and skill.
And I believe, always, that kindness matters and that you are valuable because you exist.

What I Believe
Kindness Always
Diversity as strength
You are valuable because you exist
When words are inadequate, use rituals
There is healing in each exhale and inhale
How I Work
I work remotely with clients nationwide and offer in-person sessions in the Kalamazoo, Michigan area.
Whether you're seeking spiritual companionship, need help editing your manuscript, or want to preserve a life story through ghost writing—I bring the same intention to every project:
To be fully present. To listen deeply. To honor what matters. To help you find the words.
I don't rush. I don't push. I companion you through the process with compassion, flexibility, and a consistent spirit of resilience.
My Philosophy
"Being present calls us to ground ourselves in the current moment, acknowledging our thoughts and feelings, without judgment. One of the gifts that spiritual directors offer is the intentional gift of presence: a safe space for our directees."
This is true whether I'm sitting with you in spiritual direction, editing your memoir, or helping you write an obituary for someone you love.
Presence. Intention. Sacred listening.
Let's Connect
If any of this resonates with you—if you're looking for someone to companion you spiritually, help you craft your story, or edit your manuscript with care—I'd love to hear from you.
